Halloween Roadside Safety Checkpoint on Arlington Heights Rd South of Algonquin Rd Saturday Night, Oct. 29

The Arlington Heights Police Department will conduct a roadside safety checkpoint in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Transportation's "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign for Halloween. The checkpoint will take place of Saturday, October 29, 2016 on Arlington Heights Road south of Algonquin Road. Officers working the campaign will attempt to identify and cite motorists who choose to drive without using their safety belts, are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or are committing other traffic-related offenses. Railroad Crossing Closed at Wilke Rd and Northwest Highway, Friday Oct. 21 through Monday Oct. 31, 2016

A road closure is planned for FRIDAY, OCT. 21 - MONDAY, OCT. 31 at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Wilke Road. The closure is for the replacement of the crossing surface of the railroad tracks. This railroad crossing work will require a temporary closure of the Wilke Road crossing of the railroad tracks. Traffic will be detoured to Northwest Highway and Euclid Ave. To avoid delays, patrons of the Arlington Park train station are encouraged to use Commuter Drive to access the parking lot.
