Rain Barrels Offered to Residents by Village of Arlington Heights in Conjunction with Metropolitan Water Reclamation District

Arlington Heights, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, will be offering residents free rain barrels. Residents will be able to order rain barrels from this website soon. All Arlington Heights households are eligible for a maximum of four rain barrels and they will be available in four colors, black, terra cotta, blue and warm gray. The rain barrels have a 55-gallon capacity. Residents with an interest in ordering rain barrels, please email us regarding your interest, and please include your address. The Village will respond to you with more information as soon as the Rain Barrel order forms are prepared. The barrels, along with an accessory kit, will be delivered to homes by a contractor hired by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. TODAY: North Garage Maintenance Work Begins May 2, No Daily Fee Spaces for Duration of Project

Necessary maintenance work for the North Garage, located at the northwest corner of Miner Street and Arlington Heights Road, will begin May 2 and is expected to be completed by early August. This maintenance work is part of a "Parking Garage Rehabilitation Program" approved by the Village Board for Village-owned Parking Garages. During this project, there will be NO Daily Fee parking spaces available in the North Garage. There will be limited permit parking available in the garage that will be on a first-come, first-serve basis in order to best accommodate merchant parking, Downtown residents, commuters, and shoppers. The maintenance work being done to the North Garage and all Village-owned garages will eliminate deficiencies in the structures, which, if left unchecked, could lead to future, more extensive and costly repairs.
