If you have old electronics, piles of documents you no longer need or old bicycles, you can get rid of them at the Arlington Heights Spring Sweep event, Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. – Noon
The new location for the event is in the parking lot of Arlington Park Race Track, 2200 W. Euclid Avenue (behind the train station at the southwest corner of Northwest Highway and N. Wilke Road). The entrance to the parking lot is located on North Wilke Road, just south of Northwest Highway.
The event includes electronics (see below for a list of acceptable items), document destruction (up to three legal-sized boxes per vehicle) and the collection of old, usable bikes. Residents from the suburban area are welcome to participate.
The event is sponsored by the Village of Arlington Heights Special Events Commission, the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC). Thanks to Arlington Park for the generous use of their parking lot.
The Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC) will oversee the electronic recycling. No electronic materials from schools, businesses or other institutions is permitted. Information on SWANCC's electronic recycling sites and events.
